CBCC CEO Youth Bootcamp 2025 – Young Leaders Step Forward

On 17 September 2025, the Canterbury-Bankstown Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) hosted its flagship CEO Youth Bootcamp at Western Sydney University – Bankstown Campus. Delivered in partnership with ANATE Corporate Group, the event brought together close to 300 students from schools across Western Sydney for a day dedicated to leadership and entrepreneurship.

Chaired by Sophie Najjarin, CEO of ANATE Corporate Group, the CBCC Youth Committee coordinated the Bootcamp to give young people a rare opportunity to engage directly with community leaders and business role models.

Students attended from Liverpool Boys and Girls, James Busby, Hoxton Park, Cabramatta, and the Australian International Academy Strathfield. They were welcomed by dignitaries including Mayor Bilal El-Hayek, MP Zhi Soon, Councillor Betty Green, and John Khoury, Deputy Chairman of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Wally Mehanna, CEO of the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce.

Students heard from a diverse line-up of speakers who shared personal and relatable stories. These included David Amaneddine of AAA Removalist, Antoinette Khalil of Khalil Family Lawyers, and Mohammed El Hajje of Ministry Barbers.

The program also featured the Kannan sisters: Krystal (makeup artist, business owner, and entrepreneur), Jasmine (singer-songwriter), and Anne-Marie (MoveWithAMK, social media and content creator).

Special thanks were extended to the event sponsors and partners: Western Sydney University – Bankstown Campus as the venue partner, Transit Systems NSW for transport support, and Hazen and Karma Germanos for photography and media coverage.

Their contributions ensured the Bootcamp was accessible, professional, and memorable for all participants.

The CEO Youth Bootcamp will return on 16 September 2026, continuing the joint commitment of CBCC, ANATE, and the Youth Committee to open doors for young people in Western Sydney.
