The Fundamentals of Personalised Care and Support course is designed as a foundations course to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide person-centred support services to individuals with unique needs and preferences. This comprehensive course will provide participants with an overview of the principles and processes of individualised support planning and delivery, as well as the legal and ethical requirements, and the roles and responsibilities of different people involved in care and support.
The course is designed to provide a solid foundation for understanding the importance of person-centred care, support, and the procedures for providing such services. Our participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter this profession.
We are pleased to offer funding opportunities for Secondary Public, Independent, and Catholic Schools. To access these funds, schools are required to submit an expression of interest. Please note, eligibility for funding is subject to approval. An associated enrollment fee, set at $250 per student, will be charged to the school.
The Personalised Care Fundamentals Workshop is delivered over a 10-day period, offering flexibility to accommodate various schedules and requirements. This workshop can be conducted over 5 weeks at 2 days per week, a 10-week period with 1 day per week, or as a full 10-day workshop. Such adaptability allows the workshop to cater to school schedules or other participant needs. Each day of the course consists of a full day, with 6 hours of instruction, combining theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical activities.
The Personal Care Fundamentals Workshop is designed for High School students from Years 10, 11 and 12 or individuals looking to gain skills in the Nursing and Healthcare Industries and seeking a pathway to further studies or employment. No prior experience in the field is required, but a strong interest in this industry is necessary.
